Job Description: This position is to support basic/translational research project on Autonomic Remodeling and Modulation Therapy in Heart Failure and Arrhythmic Sudden Death.
This position requires (commensurate with the application for post-doc or research assistant position):
in-depth knowledge in low and high throughput in vitro assays (e.g., RT-PCR, ELISA, Western blotting, luminescent and fluorescent based assay development, proteomics), and in vivo genetic manipulations (e.g., adenoviral-mediated shRNA preparation/transduction) cell culture support (maintaining and plating cell cultures), including handling of animal and human specimens and performance of molecular and cellular biology techniques assisting PI and senior investigators with conducting research utilizing genomics, molecular/cellular biology, fluorescent intracellular dye and patch clamp electrophysiology approaches preparing chemical reagents and biological media, and performing techniques without supervision collaborating with others in the PI’s lab to perform experiments and analyze data maintaining experimental data/records and sharing these with the PI in weekly meetings and presenting research results orally and in writing through conference and journal article publications
